Pointless note

Exercising tonight has made me feel good.....must get addicted to endorphins!!!!!

I'll give it two more weeks of current exercise and then buy some weights, two months and I'll buy a rowing machine

H away on training course, good tv show at 9.

Looking to get a mountain bike for about £300. Orks show little progress and my interest in painting is a bit thin on the ground today!

Impulse buy this morning in Argos, saw this about a year ago on offer in Argos, then mr carboot got one and I thought I best not piss on his parade! Really lovely watch though and it has the added bonus that it has a atop watch....better than spending £60 on more plastic crack!

And no real urge to spend time working on 40k. Havnt got as much done as I had hoped but I will get the orks done eventually

What I forgot....

Oh....and I got the barrels drilled out so now the orks can shoot!

Temptation to buy the grey knights has subsided but still contemplating the sale of some miniatures in order to fund further/future projects...however in future I may look back on this decision and regret it, my Mosel collection cannot really be replaced by a few hundred pounds. The real project should be getting fit and working on c.Eng

Ork progress

All the orks (except lootas, still waiting on legs) have been assembled now. Bikers have magnetised arms....bloody easy when you have s dremmel!

All the gun barrels are drilled out...bloody easy when you have a dremmel!













Hoping to get all mek, 60 boys, 6 nobs, 5 burnas, trukk and bikers undercharge at the weekend. Next week I will try to get the skin on each and every miniature based coated!

Sense of achievement at a reasonable level at the moment, image change fairly middle of the road....read sw's experience report on the tram to work today...didn't look all that intimidating to write!

Orks nearly built

Worked on ork bikers tonight....got the dremmel out and started to grind out for some more magnetisation!




Just waiting on five more sets of legs so I can build five lootas from my bitz box and the leftovers from the only box of lootas I've bought.

Been thinking about creating a grey knights Draigowing list. I could get more than a 1000 point list for around £80!

Buying the knights is a better option than more orks....gives some variety to paint.

Magnetisation

This is the first time I have ever magnetised a miniature. It's the torso and arm of one of my biker boyz / nobz.

In a 1000 point list they will run as boyz. 1500 point list they will run as nobz.

Magnetic arms will ensure that I can have wound allocation shenanigans....this might not be the case if the rumpled around 40k 6th Ed are true (I am definitely buying the 6th ed boxed set!!!!!)

Reinforcements arrived!

Picked up a package from the post office this morning....another 40 orks (£50 off eBay)! All built to a very good standard (even the shoota barrels have been drilled out!). Even got a extra nob with massive choppa and boss pole

A better ork prototype!!!!

Painted this guy this evening and he is much better than the last bag of shite ork prototype that I painted!

The lava spill base wad done on a bit of a whim.....maybe a 'toxic waste' (pva and neon green paint) stream may be a better option?










This guy wad very simple to paint: one coat of paint and a wash (except the skin that gets an ork hide foundation base coat, p3 wurn green top coat and a green wash).

I also think I've found the golden combination for ork paint schemes: dark boots, light trousers, dark undershirt, light straps.

More orks!!!!

I've just bought 40 shoota boyz from eBay for £52 (Inc postage). I really shouldn't be spending so much money on plastic crack but I really can't help it (do I have a problem?)

To completed second irk army I just need to buy a box of bikes and I should be about done....a box of lootas and some boyz would allow me to make another five Burnas and make 10 lootas...however I didn't plan on these and I really shouldn't be spending any more money!

Today my blood angels got ripped to pieces by a demon army. My assault marines got pie plated in one turn!

Friday update

Sense if achievement fairly low: arup are not very impressed by my performance at the moment!

Image change hasn't gone anywhere. Though I am reading far more now using public transport.

Ice prep is going ok but I am scared that I do not yet understand what will be asked of me at review and how to go about formulating my answers.

Dave cancelled beers tonight as well......

I think I'll do some painting tomorrow. Positive comments on dakka dakka mean that I will have to post some pics up on there for review (take pics with proper camera)

Next project..........

With the blood angels complete IRS time to start thinkin of the next project. I cracked out the Ogres and had half a look at what was in the battalion box that I bought....problem is that I am not feeling the vibe! I really want to do another irk army, my death skullz are pulling me towards 40k. However, I am still about 40 boyz short of the 60 core (minimum) boyz required for an army!

Yesterday I got all my development objectives signed of by mike. Professional review will go ahead in September. If I pass i will look to study an MBA afterwards. Leeds offer one for 17 grand (with 5 grand alumni discount), Sheffield is closer to 19 grand. Neither school is the best but I can't afford the London fee of 50 grand!

Have to pay for a weddin as well... Funny really as I saw a complete fitty on the tram today!
