i started measuring my weight (health?) in december 2014.
i weighed 14 stone 10lb.
after xmas 2014 i went upto 14 stone 13lb (my heaviest weight).
a year later in december 2015 i weighed 13 stone 7lb.
in the year 2015 i had lost 1 stone 6lb.
in august 2016 (today) i weighed 12 stone 7lb.
in 8 months i had lost a further 1 stone.
total loss to date is (from my heaviest to my current lightest) is 2 stone 6lb (just shy of 2.5 stone).
i have lost 16% of my heaviest weight.
on monday i found out that i might be becoking a father. this long term view approach, from the evidence above, works.
